/notsigned. Not necessary imo.

More realistic is not always better. Real life has enough realistic things for me. I say bring me fantasy.

I believe this is a great idea, because the game already has blood in a sense. I would rather see the enemy dripping blood, especially when bleeding; rather than a red cloud circling them.

Some people say "Gimme blood!" cuz it's realistic and some say "OMG don't do that! It would be too violent." cuz they think it's violent........ To make this clear for u all, I think saying that blood is violent is stupid..... What u don't realise is that u actually KILL in this game by taking down any enemy u encounter. Isn't KILLing another being (even if it's only a game) violent already?

When u cut urself (by accident) u see blood, when u give blood (to save others' life) u see blood... Blood doesn't always include killing, But killing always (except in case of natural death and posion) include blood.... And as I said u've already killed in the game to get ur precious XP and improve ur character. So don't tell me that blood would spoil the game experience and would make it more violent cuz that's just stupid...

As for the rating, just like others said it before me, there are lots of other games that prove it wouldn't change a thing if the game would get M. Still, with the toggle on/off and parental lock options I don't think they would even rate it M...

You completely missed the point though. In fact, I don't think any of us have said it's too violent. I love playing violent games, and I wouldn't have minded one bit if Guild Wars had blood in it when it was first released.

You're talking about adding something to the game that would require it to be re-rated. I don't think that can technically happen. The ratings board is meant to let parents know everything about the content of a game. If you change that content after purchase, that could be a legal issue. Even if the rating doesn't change, it still technically needs reevaluation. When you look on the box, it lists things like "suggestive themes, violence, etc." Now they would have to recall that.

It's just far more pain than it's worth.

Well I'm the idiot that decided in the ratings room that Blood = OMG BAD FOR CHILDREN.

However ya I don't want this MMORPGs rating to go up and I think you can't change the game to that after the game is rated.

To all that said would get young idiots away: Yes there are a lot people my age who act like idiots however NOT ALL OF THEM DO. Admiting your mistakes and changes how you get mature not purely by age.

Sry if it changes the rating /not signed

It's true that no one said it's violent straight on, but did point out that adding blood would lead to an RPG just like Diablo or even Neverwinter Nights, where u can see mass amount of blood. BTW Neverwinter Nights has an option to set the violence level letting u turn off blood or even see horrible death scenes (and I think the game also has a parental lock if I remember correctly). Oh, and the game is rated Teen....
Though I agree that the fact itself is not on the box. Still, they could include it in the next chapter, saying that this option will affect chapter 1 and 2 as well.

Why would it cause lag? This is something that can be done completely client side, and wouldn't require any more bandwith. The little impact explosion thingies you have now don't cause lag either do they? It's just a graphical feature, being done on your pc. It can cause graphical lag (lower frames per second) if it's not optimised properly, but that's about it.

That, they could probably do.
